First of all, those circular photos on the instagram profiles are called “story highlights”. Instagram stories, the regular ones, stay up for only 24 hours. Now, “story highlights” are those special ones you pick out of your insta stories, in order to keep them “alive” and seen…
In other words, you can use these story highlights in order to help express your business – or your real estate agency value proposition – to your leads and instagram visitors.
How can real estate agents use story highlights?
As a real estate agent or agency you can give a boost to your Instagram account by adding relevant content about your business. The best way to think about those "story highlights" ? They could express your agency’s value proposition. Anyone who clicks on your username could – in just a few seconds – see what your real estate agency can offer them.

Let’s take a look how instagram highlights work
Step 1: Tap the profile button in the bottom-right corner of your instagram profile screen.
Step 2: Tap the “ +” to start a new Story Highlight.
Step 3: Go through your saved past Stories and tap the circle in the bottom-right corner of each post you wish to add to that particular Highlight. If you don’t have a saved story that you’d like to add to your highlights, it’s time to create one and save it!
Step 4: When you’re done choosing the ones you’d like to add to that 1 particular highlight, tap the button “Next.”
Step 5: Choose a name for your Highlight and type it. Keep it as short as possible. Ideally, just one word or two short words. (Bare in mind, that the trick here is to add a few more highlights afterwords, and to keep in concised and aligned, in order to make it attractive for your instagram profile visitors.)
Step 6 : In order to make your highlights catchy and attractive, you should adjust the cover pictures. To stay aligned with your overall agency branding, create custom covers that reflect just that. Design and choose relevant images in order to add it to your story highlights. That could be your logo or any other particular image, be creative. Choose the graphic design tool of your choice, just be sure to make them: 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The next step is to update your highlight cover with your new design. Click on your highlight container and tap on the three dots at the bottom-right corner.
Next, tap edit highlight. You’ll see a few option; to edit cover, change name of highlight, or delete. To adapt the cover image, tap edit cover and select your new designed image. and click DONE.
Step 7: Click on “Add” to save the Highlight to your profile. There you go! On to the next one. Repeat the process.
